2/3 Marines end Afghanistan deployment, return to Hawaii

The Island Warriors have returned home.

As news coverage like this points out, Second Battalion, 3rd Marines, is returning this week from Afghanistan to Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Their deployment had them in several central Helmand province districts, launching counterinsurgency endeavors like Operation Watchtower, in which they uncovered weapons caches in southern Marjah.

  2. Welcome home and Godbless yall for what your doing. Your country is proud of you. My husband is currently in Helmand Province not scheduled to come home for a couple more months. But Im glad you all are out of there! OOOrRah!
