More than 30 leading employers who represent over 40,000 jobs will be online on July 30, 2013 at the veteranrecruiting.com Nationwide Virtual Career Fair. The Veteran Recruiting Services, in partnership with the White House Joining Forces Inititive, will host this years installment of the VRS online event.
Prior service members are encouraged to take advantage of this outstanding opportunity. This is a great way for veterans to meet live with employers from all across the country, but without the need to travel to a physical location. The career fair is not limited to only veterans. Active duty service members closing in on their EAS date and even spouses are allowed to use the site resources and connect with multiple employers online in a live interactive forum.
Well known companies such as Lowe’s, Citi, Pfizer, and Penske are going to be in attendance and looking for squared away veterans at this years VRS Virtual Career Fair.
The pamphlet boasts that since September 2011, more than 24,000 veterans have been hired by employers and government agencies who participate in the VRS event, and they are aiming for 50,000 additional people hired by 2018.
The site is always up and operational, year round, to connect service members with employers; however, on July 30th there will be many more opportunities to chat live with various employers.
The site is easy to navigate and has a friendly interface for those who lack computer prowess. After a simple registration and profile creation process, you can connect immediately with employers from all over the country, and hopefully land that dream job.
