Marines singing Disney anthem “Let It Go” goes viral on Facebook

Marines weren’t going to be outdone by a bunch of moms and their preschoolers singing the hit theme to Disney’s “Frozen.”

Theses Marines took to their barracks common area to belt out the lyrics to “Let It Go” with some real passion. And just to Marine-ize the rendition, they somewhat creepily cheer and yell some “Oorahs!” when the animated leading lady, Elsa, has a wardrobe change.

The video has more than 116,000 shares since it was posted to Facebook on Tuesday. Their voices don’t quite reach Idina Menzel’s range, but they sang with enthusiasm.

Whatever motivates you, Marines.

That is nice about singing… everybody can sing and it is good for you! you have fun and you did not even know it releases your stress and like this Marines, that’s good for them and they have FUN! :)) I’m proud of them…they sing good! :))

  3. This is my brother in law and his buddies! Made me smile to see that there is happiness in the corp! OORAH!

  4. As I told the Marine who recorded it, the video ROCKS.

Putting aside for a moment the sexual stimuli of the character letting her hair down & changing her wardrobe, it is SUPER COOL to see a bunch of strong men singing along with and celebrating a strong girl heroine role model character.

When those good men become parents – especially if they have little girls – they will understand what an important thing such support and celebration of feminine power is.

    Rock on and Semper fi!

  5. As the mom of a Marine, whatever helps these guys have fun and relax for awhile has my vote. I loved this!

  6. I want to watch this movie or any with these guys. The enthusiasm was great. I may have to watch it now.

  7. These guys know how to let go…..and then turn around, grab their weapons, and wreak havoc on the enemy. A heartfelt oo-rah to them!

  8. As a Marine Mom, this makes me so happy to see! You always worry that your kids are stressed, depressed etc..so it was good to see them in a relaxed state instead of trying to tell yourself that they do relax . Oohrah gentleman!

  9. As a Gold Star Wife this gave me a HUGE chuckle. It has only been 17 months since I lost my soulmate, but I could truly hear him singing this (terribly off-key as well) with his battlemates! Ooraah!!! SemperFi
